Introduction & teams

As part of our vision to become one of Alberta's top rugby clubs, the Calgary Rams have added another team to our club. The Calgary Rams Rugby Club is very proud to welcome a U19 team to our club beginning this season.

Our U19 men's team is a great introduction for high school rugby players who enjoyed the sport at the high school level, and are prepared to take the step to the next level in their rugby career. The focus at this level is getting younger rugby players ready to play rugby at the city, provincial, and possibly even the national level.

The Calgary Rams Rugby Club has not had a junior team in recent memory, however in the past our junior programs have dominated. We have had a number of junior players represent our club at the city, provincial and even national level. It is our goal to see our junior players play the highest level rugby possible.

Our U19 players will be given every opportunity to move up the levels within our own club as well. Junior players are encouraged to work hard, and learn the game to a level permitting them to play for our Senior Men's 2nd and 3rd Division teams throughout the season. The junior season runs from the end of June until the end of July. Playoffs will be the first week of August.
